Great speech writers know the delicious power of words. Correctly strung together, their intricate interactions can produce masterpieces of thought. A great speech brings the audience into the process with the speaker. It engages and reinforces the listener. Even a poorly written speech can be made useful if it is given the right way.

President Obama gives good speech. It is about the only thing he is good at. In every speech during the 2008 campaign he ran on the mantra of ‘change’. He claimed that word and rode it right into the White House. For that I tip my hat. He chose a word that meant so much to so many. For a vast number of Americans, a ‘change’ to an Obama presidency meant no more rent payments, free gas and lots of entitlements doled out by the government. For others, ‘change’ meant a break in the long standing tradition of white, male power in the White House. Others saw the ‘change’ as a more compassionate, engaged-with-the-common-man presidency. However defined, enough Americans bought into the ‘change’.

Now we know exactly what kind of ‘change’ Obama wanted. He wanted a fundamental ‘change’ to the way America exists. He wants to destroy capitalism and replace it with socialism. He wants reparations for all the down trodden and oppressed; a trophy for just existing. If we don’t stop him now, we will never get back the America our founding fathers created.  A society cannot survive when they are not required to participate and contribute and if the carrot is removed and there is no reward for success, there is no reason to exist. I agree it’s time to make a change.

The problem conservatives have with truly understanding what Obama is all about is our failure to look outside the box. We use the normal, logical paradigms we’ve been assigned when we try to understand him. That’s our mistake.

New Jersey Governor Chris Cristie asked yesterday “What the hell are we paying this guy for?” By asking that question, Christie assumes Obama is just an incompetent President; his actions just part of a failed policy. I reject that theory. Obama is overtly trying to overthrow the Republic. By destroying the capitalist system, he intends to remove America from being the leader of the world’s countries. This idea seems so preposterous yet every single action Obama has taken since becoming president has moved this country closer to that goal.* The unthinkable happened when this man was elected.

It’s like we have Castro, Chavez, Putin and Kim Jong-Il  not only infiltrating our government, but sitting at the head table, destroying our country from within.

Obama is the enemy; as evil as every socialist/communist leader. We need to stop looking at him like we have all other presidents. This man is pure evil. He must be stopped.

* I’ll credit him with taking out Bin Laden, however I would argue he saw it as a way to shore up his anemic support for killing Muslim terrorists.

Obama spoke to a class of 6th graders at Graham Road Elementary School in Falls Church, Virginia on Tuesday January 19, 2010.

This chump can’t even talk to a bunch of 6th graders without a tele-prompter.

Update: Apparently the teleprompter was set up for a presser held afterward. Still I’m inclined to show as much charity to Obama as the left gave to Bush i.e. none. And even if it was for a presser, needing a teleprompter is still kind of embarrassing. We’re talking about giving a prepared statement and answering a few questions here, not the Gettysburg Address.
