It simply could not be clearer. It is us against them. Conservatives vs. Liberals.
We conservatives must win to preserve the American way of life we have known for over 200 years. If Obama gets re-elected and we do not take control of the Senate, the country will falter into a socialist morass and be lost forever.
We cannot sustain the entitlement society we have created. There must be an end to the hand-outs. People must stand on their own two feet and live the life they were given by God.
Our system provides for the opportunity for anyone to succeed with hard work and a little luck. Not everyone will be driving a BMW and living poolside but as long as you have two good arms and legs and the desire to work, you will have food and shelter and clothes on your back.

I haven’t posted in quite a while…lots of reasons not least of which is the mounting pessimism I feel about the current state of the world. I talked about my reticence to write with a friend who always has a sunny view because she has trained herself to see the world as she would like it to be. Rather than dwell on the negative and focus energies on the bad, she reverses it and extols the benefits of living the way we ought to be and points out the way to do it. She refrains from any negativity and keeps the focus on the positive. This is all based on the Edgar Cayce teachings (based on Christ) that thoughts are just as important as deeds and carry the same karmic weight. Negative thoughts as well as negative actions create a discordant vibration with the Universal Force (God) and thus retard our souls growth.
I am fighting mightily not to pound out a 500-word screed against everything I see as wrong with our country, President and current direction. Instead, I will take a deep breath and ask everyone to live by the Golden Rule, do something nice for someone else today and keep all of those who need God’s light in your prayers.
Have a wonderful day!

Sixty seven years ago yesterday there was a whole lotta fear in the world. The despair Japan must have felt in regards to their position in the world had to have been enormous. The country’s leaders must have feared greatly for the future of their country; why else attack the much bigger and wealthier United States.
And with that attack they spread that fear to America. Now our country was fearing the unknown from a surprise attack and possible invasion.
America faced that fear by mobilizing and rallying behind the flag. In doing so we won the war and created the start to the most profitable time in our history.
Now, nearly seventy years later, fear has once again crept into our lives. The war on terror, the financial debacle and recent political upheaval have made for some fearful times.
For me, facing a fear directly has been the hardest yet most successful way of beating it. Each of us have to figure out our own way of doing it. I use the belief in God and the basic tenets of Christianity. “Do unto others as you would have others do unto you”.
I also believe in prayer and I believe the positive energy generated by prayer can effect change.
So today I will pray and send loving energy into the Universe. I will also endeavor to treat everyone the way I would wish to be treated.
