Wow, here’s a class act. Highly recruited high school football phenom Richy Klepal from Plant High School in Tampa, FL suffered a fifth and final concussion of his career. An MRI showed that he has a hemorrhage in his brain. Klepal stated, “It is something that if it ever — if I ever get a major impact again in any way, I could immediately die. Any kind of concussion or head trauma or anything— that could be it.”

Klepal’s playing days were now finished. But Richy,  an offensive lineman ranked  No. 221 in the ESPN 300 had received and accepted a scholarship from Florida State to join the Seminoles in 2013. Upon hearing the devastating news,  Florida State coach Jimbo Fisher called Plant’s head coach, Robert Weiner, to let him know that Klepal still has a scholarship.

“I just got a call from coach Weiner from coach Fisher that they are going to honor my scholarship, which is a huge weight off my shoulders,” Klepal said. “That makes me happy.”

I’m a Seminole Dad, and FSU has reaffirmed my love for this school. Go Noles!
